*About Content Types

Your site has personalized content types. Each content type has different parameters depending on its function within the webpage. It is important to understand the differences between content types as you create new content, otherwise content may not end up in its correct place.

Project: This is your main content type. It includes parameters to display your Books and Web Projects. When you want to add a new Book or Web Project, select Content Management from the top navigation bar. Then select Create Content and Project.

You will be directed to the Create Project page. Fill out all required fields.

IMPORTANT: To specify where this piece of content is displayed (the Books or Web Projects page) you must select either books or web-projects from the drop down menu under the Projects: heading. See below:

Page: Pages are used to display static content. While you won't need to create any new pages, it's important to recognize this content type. When you select Content from the Content Management menu and see the full list of your site's content, you will notice some content is categorized as a Page. You are able to edit these pieces of content.

Panel: Panels provide dynamic ways to display your content. You can ignore this content type.

*Featuring Content

Featuring a project means a thumbnail of the project will display on the Home page. To either feature or not feature a piece of content, select the appropriate option from the Create Content or Edit Content view:

*Editing Static Content

Your CV, Selected Essays, and About Carl Smith content are Pages. To edit them, navigate to the list of content via the Content Management bar. Choose the appropriate page and edit as needed.
