Center for Genetic Medicine | Scott Lecture 2007

Dr. Lindquist is a pioneer in the study of protein folding. Her laboratory investigates how protein conformational changes provide epigenetic mechanisms of inheritance, shape evolutionary process, and cause devastating neurodegenerative diseases. Her lab's recent work on the molecular events underlying Parkinson's disease has provided important insights into the role that misfolded proteins play in disrupting normal cellular function.
